What benefits are available to you under the Scheme and when?
As you get closer to retirement, the Trustee and Volvo Car have put in place support at key life milestones. This includes access to independent financial advice, which is available at no cost to you. There’s also help if you are considering what you want to do due to changes in circumstance and wider lifestyle planning.

Use our paid-for independent financial advice
If you are making decisions about your pension, the Trustee strongly recommends you consider taking professional financial and/or tax advice. The Trustee and Scheme administrator are not authorised to provide you with advice. However, the Trustee and Volvo Car have appointed an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) to help you, and you can access this at no cost to you on up to two occasions. You can also read a copy of the information that will be sent to you at key age milestones below.
The Scheme provides paid-for independent financial advice to you, via Isio. Isio is an established IFA firm which the Trustee and Company has used in the past, with positive feedback from members.
You may use the paid-for Isio advice service twice before you retire, so long as it includes a review of your benefits under the Scheme. This advice typically costs more than £2,000 if you were to pay for this yourself, but is being offered at no cost to you by the Scheme.

Our Scheme administrators, Aptia-Group, will contact you at ages 50, 54, 55, 60 and 6 months prior to 65 with information about what benefits you might be able to receive and what to do if you want take action.
